Chilean-French singer Ana Tijoux says she is a bit uncomfortable with her song “Shock” becoming the protesters’ anthem in Chile.
“It’s too much responsibility, you know,” Tijoux said. “I’m just a musician.”
Protesters in Chile have taken to the streets in the past weeks, calling for educational reforms. Tijoux’s song has generated buzz.
Tijoux believes the protests happening around the world are all about the same issues: citizens are realizing that current systems are no longer sustainable.
